Rosanna Amaka spent 20 years writing her haunting and powerful debut. The Book of Echoes tells the intertwining stories of Michael in Brixton and Ngozi in Nigeria. The book explores the legacy of slavery and colonialism and the dissolution of communities. Despite and partially due to devastation, hope and love emerge as powerful and poetic forces.
