Debrett’s Guide to British Behaviour

Debrett’s Guide to British Behaviour : Josephine quizzes Donna on her etiquette. How drunk can she get at Henley? Do you really have to wear a hat to Ascot and should one wear a pair of green wellies at a country show?

Josephine teaches Donna English manners: drinking is in as are hats, wellies and tweed. Donna apologises but does NOT say sorry, but this all appears ass backwards: there are few American occasions where hats, booze, wellies, tweed and apologies are de rigeur, except perhaps for a barn dance – call us rude and informal if you will.
